No to Censorship!

“No to Censorship!” (2013-2014) was a collection of stories, essays and visual arts submissions by Iranians who have experienced censorship in various aspects of their life and work. The No to Censorship! essay contest has encouraged writers and artists to explore, analyze, and examine issues related to censorship and self-censorship in the form of an essay or a video essay. A jury of distinguished authors and artists reviewed all the submissions and chose the following as the winners of the contest: a written essay by Sepideh Sarafraz, and a video essay by Mohammad Talani. Additionally, Negin Vaziri’s video essay received an honorary mention by the jury. Below are selected essays in Farsi and selected video essays.
